@davida6889

You'll never see groups with 3 guitarists that can harmonize vocally and harmonizing lead guitar lines ..Drummers that sing and bassists holding it all together .The Eagles were a once in a lifetime supergroup .

@acidheadzzz

This is the reason I started playing guitar in the 70’s when I was 12 years old.
Turning 60 soon, 6 kids 8 grandkids later, still playing guitar, teaching three generations after me guitar and it all began with this song on this album many moons ago. Thank you Don and Joe.

@bradlyo99

The fact that this man is playing the drums whilst singing melodically is mind blowing

@Jørgen-y1ube

I don't understand how anybody can write a perfect song like this. The text,the guitars ,the vocal and the whole story. Can nearly compete with Beatles.

@Historic53

Perfect intro.
Perfect outro.
Perfect solo.
Perfect harmony.
Perfect lyrics.
Perfect rythm.
Perfect band.

Perfect voices.
Perfect riffs.

Perfect song.

@MazMazing

Masterpiece

@garrysucks4190

Honestly didn't expect the drummer of all people to actually sing this song, which only makes it that more magical. Seriously great talent.

@stevengarrett5930

I played this for 4th of july it was so good

@huascar66

Probably one of the greatest rock songs ever. Probably one of the best live versions of any song ever.

@jameshudson-p9k

My father had a friend named Frank Sule, who grew up in Florida, and went to High School with Don Felder. He said Felder was friendly and caring, a genuine nice person. 30 yrs after high school, Frank & his wife were hanging out at a venue where the Eagles were playing that night, a few hours later..well, Frank happened to see Felder, and introduced himself. Felder remembered him, and gave them free tickets to the show that night...that's so cool

@GeorgesAbdallah-ii3qs

Masterpiece and even the live version is better than the studio recorded, the eagles are really flying, this song never dies!

@sherrilltonihka93

Watched, this live at 14, & 61 now, What a Great Time, it was.

@johnnycaudill4590

Felder and Walsh playing that solo hits my soul everytime

@parkjunjun

On a dark desert highway,
cool wind in my hair
Warm smell of colitas
rising up through the air
Up ahead in the distance,
I saw a shimmering light
My head grew heavy
and my sight grew dimmer
I had to stop for the night

There she stood in the doorway
I heard the mission bell
And I was thinking to myself,
'This could be heaven
or this could be hell'
Then she lit up a candle
and she showed me the way
There were voices
down the corridor,
I thought I heard them say

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
Plenty of room at the Hotel California
Any time of year,
you can find it here

Her mind is Tiffany-twisted,
she got the Mercedes benz
She got a lot of Pretty, Pretty boys
that she calls friends
How they dance in the courtyard,
sweet summer sweat.
Some dance to remember,
some dance to forget

So I called up the captain,
'Please bring me my wine'
He said,
'We haven't had that spirit here
since nineteen sixty nine'
And still those voices are
calling from far away,
Wake you up
in the middle of the night
Just to hear them say...

Welcome to the Hotel California
Such a lovely place
They're livin' it up
at the Hotel California
What a nice surprise,
bring your alibis

Mirrors on the ceiling,
The pink champagne on ice
And she said
`We are all just prisoners here,
of our own device'
And in the masters chambers,
They gathered for the feast
They stab it
with their steely knives,
But they just can't kill the beast

Last thing I remember,
I was running for the door
I had to find the passage back
To the place I was before
`Relax' said the night man,
We are programmed to receive.
You can check out
any time you like,
But you can never leave.

@gloriat75

I’m 74 years old and I listen to it over and over again. Brilliant!

@DJMetalstone

Drumming is already hard enough but also singing the whole song at the same time is just amazing. Just shows the talent this band has. One of my all time favorite classic songs :)

@lorilesage8088

It does not get any better than this! Raw, emotionally felt talent. Classic. And Joe Walsh! What can we say about him? I remember the tennis shoes he is wearing like it was yesterday! All of these guys are natural and perfection. Real instruments and real voices. Rocking it out. The best! ♥💜💙💚💛🧡

@lucassnow2959

Not many bands sound as good live as they do in the studio, but Eagles were able to take an already perfect song like Hotel California and make it sound even better live. This is one of the best live performances ever and I'm not sure if any band will ever come close to how great Eagles were again.

@skyy256

The Eagles in their prime folks … incredible live performance of one of the greatest bands of all time thank you for this post!!

@ClammyThe3rd

I have never understood how Don Henley can play the drums and sing at the same time so perfectly. Truly an amazing band with an amazing singer
