The linux kernel keeps you safe from becoming a league of legends player
Don't forget. Its "My Computer" Not "This PC"
"Guys, this might be the end of Windows, a new age of Linux!" -Redditor a few years back
"Windows Update will soon be disabled on Windows 10" You mean I'm free?
Funnily enough, Meta started blocking Linux mentions on Facebook. I wonder why…
"Windows 10 is the last version of Windows" Yeah they got it right on that one 🤣🤣 It was for me alright
Linux doesn't force you to buy new hardware to run it. Windows is always preparing to prepare.
The Steam Deck running arch Linux and thus encouraging game devs to consider Linux support, plus valve's proton, is the best thing to ever happen to Linux.
Me and the boys entering our echo chamber to say the same things we've said for years:
0:42 I ran Microsoft's "PC Health Check" on my 2 years old laptop and guess what? ✅ TPM 2.0, ✅supports secure boot, Followed by: "The processor isn't supported by Windows 11" and gave me a link to buy a new PC. I quickly upgraded to Linux Mint 22.1
Linux now a days is a lot easier to use than in the past. The only hurdle is in familiarity, people are so used to Windows that the new system simple feels off. I recently put my parents on Ubuntu. My mom complained a bit. at first until she realised Open Office worked like old Office, now she's chuffed. My dad still complains about the folder setup is "weird", even though I put all his old docs in the Doc folder. But over all, they seem to have adapted without issue.
I wish kernal anti cheat would die so I can enjoy my multiplayer slop on it
1:02 He says, as I play this video on a i7 3770K system that runs 90% of all games on high still. Micropeen will never get another cent out of me so long as I live.
My operating system can't be this cute
I switched to Linux a few weeks ago and I've only had 1 issue and even that has a work around that, while not the most convenient, works fine. I gave up convenience for control and I couldn't be happier.
Linux Mint is a great introduction to Linux but it is also a great system for advanced users as it is a fully featured Linux.
Mental Outlaw, can you do a video if you haven't already addressing Linux gaming in 2025 to Windows gamers? I think that would help in getting more people into linux (Arch Linux BTW)
I doubt Steam would drop Windows 10 that quickly. The reason they dropped Windows 7 and 8 was the embedded Chromium browser. "This change is required as core features in Steam rely on an embedded version of Google Chrome, which no longer functions on older versions of Windows."
5:28 How did you get those cool interfaces? That looks awesome!
