The key thing here, Honda Engineers have done a remarkable job in keeping engine deposits on the valves in Honda GDI engines to very low levels. There are preventative steps owners can take to limiting carb9n build up on valves by only using top tier gasoline, replacing spark plug early and using a high quality 0W20 synthetic oils. I have 76,000 miles on my Accord earth dreams engine and my exhaust tips are as clean as a whistle. A paper issued by Honda on the technology behind the Honda Earth Dream Engine goes into a lot more detail for the Direct Injection development that likely reduces carbon buildup on intake valves significantly. The technology includes injectors with 6 ports to stratify the injection charge and operates twice per combustion cycle. The first spray is while the Intake Valves are open and the second at the beginning of the Compression stroke. The description is very complex, but my take is that the first charge will actually hit the back of the Intake Valves emphasizing the need for Top Tier Gasoline. There are also Combustion Chamber and Piston shapes that enhance stratification and placement of the first injection charge.
I’d like to see a vlog of your compound. I love desert living.
so i live in Alberta Canada and my oil catch can fills up to the top with gas mixed with oil ive got around 24k klm, at this point .at first it was only a little bit, but more oil , but the cold winters prob affects it out here.i also check it about once or twice a month
if u install the catch can on left side of the fuel line bracket the hose will be shorter . maybe that will help with your throttle response
Make sure your hoses are oriented correctly and everything is super tight. Those hoses are way too long - compared to my Mishimoto setup. Like your grill setup - nice!
Nice! Crazy I bumped into your videos not even a week ago and you post something on real estate. I’m considering getting my real estate license, hopefully you can help out with a few pointers! Thanks for the update on the catch can. I’m not the smartest car guy but it seems pointless, unless you know something I don’t know. Either way, keep up the good work!
put some thread sealant on the drain plug
I have a 2019 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T 6MT. Thought about getting the catch can but decided to take a pass on it. Instead, spent my money on a splitter grill spoiler and haven’t looked back.
sweet sound motor!
Where did you get that red engine cover looks nice and looking to get a catch can thnx very informative
what engine oil are you running? I've read that a group 4 or 5 base oil will have less vapor and help your valves stay clean. I'm going to do both though. run the group 4 or 5 base oil (Liquimoly 2208 0W-20 Special Tec AA Motor Oil) and install a catch can.
And any updates
I have a mishimoto catch can and I'm collecting a few ounces every 1k miles. I'm a little concerned that you may not have your intake hoses routed correctly if you are coming up dry.
Give away the chrome grille delete!
No more tubs(baby joker voice) lol. That one is huge tho. I could actually fit in there. What state is this and how much was it listed for?
What gas is better for the accord 2.0 regular or premium?
If you want to show better videos to what your doing it’s best to have a go pro on your head so it frees up your hands and we can see what your doing
What about RPM at 70? Highway speeds?
This is the one that you recommended for me Mine does the same thing to dripping out of the bottom
