This album literally saved my life! I was in the hospital for 11 days for my heart condition and this album came out. I was pissed because I was planning on going to get it that day. My sister came to visit and I asked her to grab my CD player and CD sleeve so I could listen to my music while I slept to block out all the hospital noises. She accidentally forgot to grab my sleeve but she grabbed my CD player! She said “sorry! I totally forgot to grab your CDs, but this should get you through!” And she tossed this album into my lap. I wouldn’t have gotten any sleep without this album. Yeah it’s a high energy album but it’s better than listening to alarms going off and patients screaming in pain. 😂😂

in 4th grade I was at daycare and had a cd player with this in it. the day care would only allow disney channel and kid friendly stuff but I always sneaked off and jammed out. the yard duty asked what I was listening too one day and being scared I would be in trouble I hesitated and said system of a down. The dude took the cd player headphones on and started jamming. Will never forget that day.

The transition from the verse to chorus will never not give me goosebumps or make me scream the lyrics. WHY CANT YOU SEE THAT YOU ARRRRRE, MYYYYY CHIIIIILD gives me chills every time even though I first heard this song in elementary school and now I’m in my mid 20’s. SOAD will forever remain unmatched.

Ive always loved SOAD...but now that im older (in my 30s) ive come back around to really listening to them...and i have a new found appreciation for all of their music. Theres like a 3+ hour mix here on youtube ive listened to so much since last year. System of a down has become my favorite band. Love it all.
