Well here I am, watching this same video after 11 years 😂 - still one I can never skip or stop listening to, genuinely one of the most beautiful pieces I’ve ever heard.
Well I've watched this video about 500 times over the last few months and I've gotta say, it never gets old. Major respect to maestro York!
Master York what a legendary player
As a former student of Andy's at Whittier College, I can tell you that he's not only a phenominal musician but a class act, stand-up guy. He spent time helping students with music theory homework who weren't even guitar students! I'm glad to see he's still doing what he loves. Miss you around Whittier Andy!
No words... This music talks by herself... Congratulations
Like waves of sunshine upon your child's happy face. Simply beautiful.
I heard Andrew York's music for the first time on Arthur Hohn's syndicated all night program ( the Bagatelle). I ordered Denouement the next day and the first time I heard Faire I played it 9 times in a row I was so enchanted. (I've enjoyed playing it on a harpsichord as well) Time has not dimmed my interest in his music and he is still writing music for the ages ( this and Yarmour I keep listening over and over again just as I did with Faire and Waiting for Dawn over 20 years ago). This is the best guitar music ever written. It will be around as long as it matters.
This is more than excellent. His playing has so much emotion in it.
Lol I like the small but sudden bursts of speed, it's like a cool little surprise every time it happens
The descending melody starting a 1:56 is just pure genius! My favorite guitar 'riff of all time.
So beautiful. He is a glorious master of the guitar. Such an inspiration!
I love so many of Andrew's pieces but this one has become my favorite. It is a journey in one song.
This is pure auditory genius! Bliss incarnate...
What a great composition and performance. I have spent countless hours practicing, playing and listening to your music. Thanks for everything Maestro!
it's 2022, and still this is one of my all time favorites
My goodness this is one of the best songs I’ve ever heard. You’re one of the best to ever do it!
This is such an epic performance and a song! In my mind, this piece rubs shoulder with Andrews signature piece "Sunburst". So much story, melodies, dynamics, and just a lot of emotions. I watched this video a lot before the recording came out. Just now revisiting thanks to "Monday Memories". I still feel the emotions from back then. Just epic. This album is one of my all time favorites. Thank you.
木村大のアルバムでヨーク作曲の曲が特に好きで、この曲も大好きだったから、ヨーク自身の演奏が見られて嬉しい。
Thank you Andrew for this beautifull peace of music that brings me crying of emotion. I'm guitarist by my self and this makes that I listen and feel on a special way. You play with your soul and so very sensitive! People hear and specially "feel" that! The expression of your face shows that you are "one" with your music and your guitar! Thanks again to shear this with the world! Bert Degrauwe
