A few years ago, when I was a beginner, one of your old videos convinced me to wear my bass a lot higher. I think I would point to that as the one thing that has improved my playing the most, it unlocks so many doors.
I am gunna watch every bass lesson here.
Always get the best strap that you can get.I damaged my first bass on the 2nd day when my strap tore and my bass fell on the floor .
Billy Sheehan made a good point about strap length. His opinion/experience is that the strap should hold your instrument in the same place that it sits when you're seated, practising. The idea is that when you stand up, the bass is in the same place in relation to your body.
So you're saying to NOT wear it at my knee like Krist Novoselic? FINE, I GUESS.
I like having my bass really low because I think it's more comfortable for thumb down slapping
Finally! A bass lesson I kept up with!
I know this is basic stuff but I am just starting and it is very helpful. Good presentation too! Thanks!
going in a few days to get my first Bass Strap, thanks again for your help, Howard .
comfort strapps are the best! really helps with the shoulder tension
The velvet underground tattoo is sick love it!!
thanks josh, very cool! lately ive been planning to buy a bass and your videos have been really helpful. 💙
Could you please have the urls for the strap that you recommend as well as the strap locks
Good Advice, I'll keep that in mind.
This video is my entire reason i can play bass today ty BassBuzz! (I was definitely not paid to say this)
2:01 thanks now I have a new fear :D
One of my bass buttons is in just the worst place. It's on the back instead of the top.
I finally got mine adjusted just right today...after having my Gruv Gear strap for two months...lol. The neoprene stretched a little but is more comfortable to me than the leather one.
Tell them about those little rubber washers that assist in not losing your strap!!
