I swear I heard somewhere that when te Dutch landed on the Island, rats were also introduced to the dodos. Rats would eat the eggs from the dodo’s nests as they were all in the ground.

Not fully true. On ships there were also rats that were "spawn killing" dodos eggs + dogs that hunt them down and also cutting forets, one of the last things that protected them, we doomed them

Actually, most of the time they never ate dodo, saying how it tasted awful, it’s mostly just bc dodos never used to have any predators in the slightest so they were horribly unprepared for all the pigs, dogs, cats, rats and other animals who started to prey upon their eggs and/or young
