@Shyningfade

Crazy how many new switches they keep coming out with. As far as linears are concerned, I've found my endgame with Gat Smoothies and WS Pearls

@zach_ry

Really enjoy the TTC Silent Frozen V2s

@seriouscoderedmoon

I have the Aqua King, and yes, they smooth but sound scratchy even if I lubed them myself.

What I ended up with is the Gateron G Yellow Pro 3.0, not as smooth and deep sound as AK, but I like the marbly deep sound of it.

@Flare-nd

just received my 70pc hmx lotus from you guys. got them for 30 cents a switch and came within a week of ordering. good quality and i dont notice any defects. will order from you in the future 👍

@Robert__lofi

Those silent frozens are so quiet. I have them on my board and have been loving them.

@Putu13

Loving the TTC Silent Frozen V2

@sengan2475

What about draculas? Would you say any of these are noticeably smoother than them?

@tommyle628

WS Pearl is the best linear switch of this year! Milktooth introduced them to me and after comparing with the Aqua King v3, the Aqua King feels very slow, while being smooth, they are too slow to recover from the down stroke.

The best linear silent this year should be the TTC frozen v2. I tried 15 different silent switches and none can match the smoothness and overall feeling while being whimpering quiet.

@mk-6575

Thank you so much that you use Neo70 for the sound test!!

@MarbsMusic

As you can probably tell from the amount I have purchased I really love the Nixies. I wish Cherry would make a similar switch with a clear bottom though because they, much like other heavier linears, kill much of the RGB on any board you put them on. For me I think it's the minor scratch and feel like the most, they just feel different than many other switches. Probably going to order some Gazzew LT Linear to check out soon. Informative video as always!

@D3RS

Just purchased some cheese switches because of this video. Cant wait to compare them to the KD200 I have on my daily driver

@huycao100

HMX truly is the kinng of the mid-ranged switches. you can do no wrong with most switches from them. My favorites are cloud, cheese, macchiato

@max10hoop

Gateron Smoothies blew me away this year! Basically, better Morandi switches in almost every way!

@tylerm2784

i picked up some nixies this year and i gotta say after L/F/SS they might be my favorite switch (out of the 18 or so i've tried). HMX is toooooo good for how convenient they are tho lmao

@kesamek8537

Great video.
Hoping a manufacturer makes a silent gamer switch soon (1.0mm actuation 2.0mm bottom out, something like that) with gamer-friendly firmware before I ditch them all for a Wooting.

@zivens.2407

I was literally just wondering if milktooth would drop another switch video!

@lilililiililili6363

please come to europe, i beg of you

@leftcoastfunk

Top five as in "most sold" or top five as in "best"? NIxies and most HMX switches are a testament to the power of the influence of content creators and also the herd mentality often found in hobbies like this. They're so hype that people forget to try or even talk about other switches. Don't get me wrong, I actually do like Nixies okayish - if they're lubed, filmed and spring-swapped. I also like cough some HMX switches, though I find that the majority of them sound and feel almost exactly the same. As a totality - these switches aren't bad, at all - but a chunk of the community has taken to treating HMX or Nixies as if they're the be-all-end-all of switches. If you haven't tried all the switches, how do you know you like those ones the best? Because other people in a discord server told you they are? LOL I will repeat this as many times as I need to til the day I die: one of the best things you can do is to buy or try as many switches as humanly possible. Anytime I have $50 I can spare (free shipping baby!), I'll get as many 10-packs of switches I haven't tried before from Milktooth. Anytime I order something from another vendor, I'll throw in a 10 (or 18) pack of switches I've never tried before. Don't exclusively just follow trends because you'll miss out on some cool switches and beside sometimes trends are just wrong (remember when everyone was talking about how Morandis are like just about the best switch ever, until we all tried them and realized they're just...not?)

Neptune and Venus sound really good and they're super smooth but the bottom-out just feels sort of...weird? I honestly don't know how to describe it but I didn't find them terribly enjoyable to type on. Aqua Kings are good - so eerily smooth it almost feels unnatural - but definitely not good enough to cost more than most other kinds of switches. Maybe if they were $0.40 a piece they'd be more worth it. Lastly, Silent Frozens are just about goated by now as far as silent switches are concerned. There are other good-enough silents out there, but you really can't go wrong with these

Honorable didn't-mentions: HMX Canglan v2, HMX Hibiscus, Gateron Smoothies, Aflion Windy Shadows (my current go-to) or Cloudy Shadows

In the end, only YOU can say what you like the best cause it really is just about preference. For me personally, it's two switches that almost nobody has ever heard of because they weren't hyped (one of which you can't even get anymore): UHMWPE Cows (L+F) and Aflion Tropical Water v2 (as-is/factory lube)

@walterwang7589

I own the TTC Venus and it is just impressive, beating the gateron oil king by a lot and all of the "thocky" switches

@MEKNISMBEATZ

I have nk creams. I haven't found a switch that's as deep and smooth as them. I'm looking for a switch that's similar sounding but a lighter actuation force.
