Also, holding uranium ore is fine for short periods of time. Wearing gloves and washing hands after is advised for it's toxicity, not radioactivity.

@Memjahmin

a bunch of dudes in the forest chuckling at a rock while all holding their screaming geiger counters over it. peak youtube

What even funnier is that leaf protecting his hand is a legitimate tactic against alpha-particles

@dev_x_real

Least radioactive product in the 1930s:

Parents: Get off Fallout and go outside!!!
Me: “Goes Mining for uranium”

@embers8732

The guy smacking it with a pickaxe making a lot of dust got a healthy dose of rads

@madhukeshnp

Radioactive elemets left the universe after knowing they cannot pass through a leaf with holes.

@Roopitaharikanth-ds3xs

Hazmat suit was invented in 1910.
People before 1910: use leaf for protection.

@oconn026

The fact that he was so close so many times to something so deadly and just laughing like It's an average rock is crazy

@Cleric4521

Every second of holding that rock kinda exposed your hand to the same level of rads/hr as an hour of cruising in a jet. Wild.

@saifgolfer

I am glad you use a leaf for protection 😂

@joeyflat1452

"Uranium fever has gone and got me down."

@govinddawar8183

Never seen someone that excited for something that could kill/disfigure them

@chrisl1980

The dust that comes off those rocks, like when the person hit that small chunk with the pickaxe, is very dangerous. Inhaling radioactive dust is one of the worst ways to get exposed.
