Aang has actually used seismic sense twice against ozai and when he was training with toph and katara
It isn't correct to say that Aang had problems in learning fire bending, he learned it really really fast, but when for error he hurt Katara his psyche blocked that power and it was really hard for him to unlock it again, but he learned it really fast in the beginning.
0:12 One of my fave things about the lok intro is the fact that everyone else did proper bending while aang did a cartwheel
I think Korra has more raw power but Aang is way more nuanced and creative. Hard to compare them. But Aang's Avatar state is way stronger
One thing I read that has stayed with me "when Korra goes into the avatar state she's in danger, when Aang goes into the avatar state he IS the danger"
Aang didn't struggle with firebending did he? He was just scared to use it after hurting Katara. And he just saw fire as a destructive element and didn't care for it much.
What I like about Aang is that his bending style is very aesthetic or artistic and not relying on raw strength. I like Korra endurance and stubbornness!
Not to mention that Aang had to learn everything in one summer while Korea had years to train. And Aang was 12 💀 Also Azula also did the fire flying thing with her blue fire.
I think Aang's feat of mastering all elements before adulthood is unmatched.
I feel like an important difference to mention between Aang and Korra is that Korra was learning how to fight with the elements. Aang, from what I saw, learned about the elements themselves, not how to fight with them. Edit: grammar
4:09 he broke the sound barrier
Aang is only a pacifist because he was holding back so much power.
One correction. Aang does not need the Avatar state to take or give someones bending. That is a skill he possesses, Korra needs it because when you are in the Avatar state you can access the knowledge of the past lives, in this case Aang's knowledge. She may have learned it later again from the spirit Raava, but with Korra's connection to Aang gone we are no longer sure if she CAN take someones bending away at all.
I would say Aang in Avatar state is the strongest Avatar of all time. Beat Ozai while he had a power up from Sozin's comet, redirected Ozai's lightning while doing it for the first time ever and became the first Avatar ever to learn how to take away the bending of others.
I mean y’all forget to realize that Korra lost the connection to her past lives. She was pretty much out on her own.
I can remember that I read somewhere that Aang also tasked the White Lotus to guide the next Avatar. Korra was indeed, for lacking of better term, spoiled for her training and its span of years.
Firebending came easy to aang the only reason that he struggled to learn it was his mental state was off because he injured katara the first time he did it. after that his fear stopped him from using it and made him see it as destructive force
I'd say for The next video, comparison between Aang and Kora as characters themselves. Their motives, emotional struggles, coming of age, and hero's journey.
Aang is the Avatar state was practically invincible. He held back from really hurting anyone , his attacks hardly had an intention to hurt. His focus and creativity in the midst of battle was unique. He would always find ways to use the environment to impulse his next move. One of the best moves he did was the body wind blast. His high sensitivity with agility and movement would easily get him out of trouble. Aang had so much pressure on him at such a young age. His development in such a short time he s insane. Aang has everything going for him , especially since we didn’t have the opportunity to see a more fleshed put Aang. The Legend of Korra got more runtime, and by all means she had more ability to express feats than Aang. Aang is the most impressive Avatar in the lore’s history. The other avatars never had to go through a similar development like Aang had to. The Avatars were to balanced the world , and they did it without any conflict. Aang shouldered Roku’s mistake , and he suffered the pain of loosing his family. Aang was the Avatar that suffered the most , and experienced the greatest growth.
