they’re just temporarily deactivating their own bloatware lmao
Idk why this short gave me such a strong hit of nostalgia
Downloading extra RAM was a thing back then...
I drilled a hole where the fan was on my old gaming laptop
They could just remove all their bloatware and spyware on their os to boost it
Glad to see Windows now has Ccleaner pre-installed ❤
I often try to make PCs as energy efficient at this point as possible. I even undervolted my steam deck to -50 -50 -50. My pc run undervolted and I think it is always fun to see how little something can draw without loosing performance
UPDATE: It appears it is no longer on the Microsoft Store UPDATE 2: ITS BACK UP
Oh trust me there is a difference. It reduces the ram usage by a decent chunk as my ram usage goes from 37% to 29% on the best case but typically goes from 36% to 31%. And keep in mind this on the desktop with nothing open and on a 24GB build.
Well i usually use Ram map Its a application that lets you clear your ram caches and ram in use etc
They do really work the other day I found that I had 107 gigs of temporary files on my disk, now I regularly use these apps to clear RAM and temporary files.
Wow just tried it and its actually pretty neat. Thanks.
I don't use booster apps but I do use "Page File" setting which uses the space of the HDD. It's much better than those booster apps
Mine also had 2 gigs of ram but the cpu was only single core
'Cuz you got to do what you wanna do! Don't let nothin' get in your way - chase your dream every day!
If you wanna performance then use Arch btw
I still have a similar laptop like this as my primary gaming laptop.
This time the Microsoft one is legit because instead of being a placebo, they just shut down the companies of unwanted apps you have in the background.
Razor performance booster actually freed up so much ram and let my $2000 2050 pc play Fortnite at 1440p with 150fps
