Thanks Laurie. My wife and I sacrificed a lot to take care of our aging parents. They have now passed and we are grateful for every day spent with them. More importantly we set an example for our 5 kids.
Life is not short when you are having fun and you discover yourself. I am 68 and feel/act as if I am 20. I still have soooo much to do in this life!
This video isn't just a reminder—it’s a wake-up call. Time is the only currency we can’t earn back. From now on, I’m spending mine like it matters. Who’s with me?"
I have said for years "I won't spend one more minute with people who have toxic negative personalities." But I later came to realize that these are the people who needed my friendship the most.
Width of life is more meaningful than its length
True. While we are young it feels like it is never ending but then one day your 50+ and wondering where all the time went.
You certainly can't tell what happens next. My healthy friend who went out for a walk, got ran over by a bicycle on a walking path, and hit her head, had to get head surgery, and has been in the ER for 2 months now, just transferred to another place. She was young and healthy. This was such a shock to me.
I am 64, retired a year ago. My motto is to be a better person, be the improved version of myself ie keep learning and improving. Learning and building my belief in God has been most fulfilling in understanding meaning, purpose, and Love. Yes, life is short but we must cherish each day with our loved ones. Faith, Hope and Love. The greatest is Love. Love freely and generously.
I need to rush home to hug my daughters after watching this. Thank you for being an inspiration!
My dad, the rock in our family and pillar for the community passed in 2021 at the height of Covid. Our family has not been the same since. I have 5 other siblings. We have all lost something, the closeness that we once had. We are all in our 40s now and this video helped with something I have been thinking about for a while. That is to live life with purpose. Thank you.
Am 30 with 2 kids- good job and family. But in the middle of all struggling between prioritizing family , carrer, spouse time , kids study time , me time , kids excersice, time with parents and for development and neglecting my own relaxation. Thanks for the vedio, make more of this kind and helps us plan better balance between life is short so relax and enjoy and to have continue learning time
Its the people you spend time with, you mean so much to them. Proximity matters. Live close to people you love. Focus ruthlessly on Those who matter to you right now.
It definitely passed me by, my parents, and all my Aunt's and uncles have passed,I never had relationships outside of that, loner life since, over 22 years, mid sixties now and hoping life goes even faster,so I can see them again
Laughing with family and/or friends is what I always value the most. That’s all I want, more laughter and joy with others. That makes me happy.
"What I value most in life is health and freedom". I couldn't agree more. My mom passed on May 2nd. She was 96. I have maybe 20 more winters. I am more aware of this now than ever before.
Yes! We can’t go back so slow down and enjoy what you have now!! ❤
The way you offer these priceless gens of wisdom akd insight in such a humble and detached way is just..... Thank you 🙏🏾💛
Hi Laurie, I love all your content especially the inspirational and motivatioanl content. This video really resonates with me. I’m 66 and have 3 children, 2 grand children and 2 great grand children and I wish I had more time to spend with all of them. Thankfully, I’m working on that. Thank you...❤
On your deathbed It doesnt really matter what others thought of you. What matters most is if you feel happy with the life you lived. Whether you feel you lived the life true to yourself, not a life for others. Life is short if you waste time. When you put off or postpone yourself. Although life is short, if you focus on what matters most. life can be incredibly long and rewarding when you live with intention. To prioritise and focus on what matters most.
