Thanks Somalia everything you did for African people and African countries who were under colonial rule. When you got your independence, you did not sit and watch your African brothers and sisters struggle but you have helped every way possible that is why they destroyed you. Your slogon was these days”Somalia is not free until all Africa becomes free). You will come back more stronger than what you used to be.
Thanks ❀ from Africa to Somali people

@Abrahimawo

I’m from the city of Abadir ,Harar not far from you. I listen to this song almost everyday even though I don’t understand much of what it says but English caption helped a lot thank you

@fe8445

This song was the opening song for the African Union leaders summit held in Mogadishu, Somalia, June, 1974.

@ice-cold4342

The English is not rich enough language to truly convey the true meaning of the lyrics

@AbdulkadirMNur

This song "Midab Gumeysi Diida - Reject the Color of Imperialism" was recorded in 1974. It was when the African Union Summit was held in Mogadishu, Somalia. It is talking to the leaders and people of Africa and it says: if you think that the colony has left you, he is with you, changing the name to "Imprialisam"!
Somalia played a major role in independence many African countries from European colonialism, especially during the year it held the presidency of the African Union.

I’m one of the many diasporas who spent majority of their life in the west,and I haven’t been back to Africa in a long time. We have so many people 80s babies 90s babies my generation we have engineering pharmaceuticals, doctors a lot of change can be done in a short amount of time if we listen to each other and work together.

This is is incredibly beautiful omgggg, Africa will triumph. We will achieve continental unity and all the children of Africa will finally be free. Long live the unity between all the peoples of Africa. We are one people and we must unite to defeat our common enemy : Western Imperialism!

@abdirahmanhad

I'm a somali and i can tell you that the English ;has not enough words to translate the spirit of this song

@MBI423

We were very enthusiastic for every African Freedom. As Somalis we wanted all the Somali people and It's habitant lands to be free and unite under 1 flag unfortunately our own African brothers Ethiopia and Kenya refused that dream for the Somalis till today. Hopefuly one these Somali regions will forcefully be independient, and Hopefulyy All Somalis will live under one nation, and flag.

@Danta77

I'm glad to see people appreciating this song, I grew up listening to this and other songs like it, it's a fact Somalia fought for other African countries rights, now some of these countries repay Somalia by killing or mistreating Somali people. That's how the world works

@aliharbi9498
