If anyone is still confused: 1. SAG-AFTRA's Global Rule 1 (Union VAs are not allowed to work on non-Union projects, even overseas ones) is still in effect and always will be, regardless of strikes and work refusals. And yes, this does mean all Union VAs currently working on Hoyo games are actually breaking that rule, and were never allowed by SAG to work on Hoyo games. Yes, this will also likely cause problems for the Union VAs who do want to come back after the wildcat strike has ended. 2. The reason Hoyo couldn't get new VAs is because they are not Hoyo's characters, and Hoyo would need permission from Aniplex and Type Moon to do so. Evidently, they did not get this permission, didn't ask for it, or didn't have time to act on it. (Edit for name correction)
