Yes and no to the cooling wipes. I bought some while in Japan while visiting last summer. The weather was HOT so I figured these would be great for cooling me off. However, I didn’t realize they contained ethanol and menthol, which irritated my sensitive skin so much it literally felt like burning. Be careful when using these on sensitive skin areas, like your armpits, and if you have sensitive skin overall.
The mouth freshners are available on us amazon as “beyond breath” breath freshening capsules and there is also the pacific body deodorant wipes on amazon. We aren’t just aware but we have it too
i love how japan is progressing. but the one down side is the huge amount of waste that comes from japan. think about it. just about every product is packaged in plastic, and the individual items in a container are also packaged in plastic. there is so much plastic being put on earth. i love japan but i wish there wasn't so much trash
Japan’s gargantuan use of plastic is on a level I’ve never seen before. Not even in third world countries.
japan is also sorta behind in ways too, like for the bank you have to use a stamp, sure they have cool things, but no contry is completely in the future w/ their products
1. Scented wet wipes/cleansing wipes 2. Literally just very strong breath mints 3. Potpourri spray or scented oils 4. A heat compress. Yeah it has straps for your ears but its just a small heat compress (Like correct me if I'm wrong on any of this but all of these things are just slightly altered/rebranded products that've been around for years)
So japanese knows about wet wipes. Awesome.
My brother is going to Japan today in like 4,5 hours!! I’m jealous of him. He’s going with his friends!
My favourite eyemask is the cooling one. After a long day, it's refreshing and feels nice on the eyes. Its cooling effect lasts for 8 hours.
Japan has decided to stop using floppy disks for official documents in 2024. Yes, Japan is really living in the year 2050.
✨plastic✨
We have had the toilet spray here in the uk for a long time . Its sold by a brand called poopourri and the adverts are always funny 😂
The eye mask is available in the US. It’s made by a company called Cornea Care
The toilet drops is a thing in Western countries too. I remember seeing lots of ads about similar items from Western brands back 10 or 15 years ago! The Kao heated eye masks are simply iconic I fear. That said, I find it gets a little too hot for me, it’s actually uncomfortable (it gets to 40°C). I always have to take breaks when I use them by sliding them up to my forehead or down to my neck. I actually prefer their other heating pads for other areas of the body! There’s one that’s supposed to be for period cramps (you stick it inside the front of your underwear) but I love it for lower back muscle pain. Also keeps me super warm and toasty in the winter!
Not a fan of single use sheets instead of a stick. A small deodorant stick is more portable than a package of these and they create so much waste. Same goes for the eye mask. I have one I bought in a pharmacy here in Austria. You can heat it up in the microwave and it smells like lavender every time you use it. Let‘s be mindful of the things we recommend and try to minimise single use items.
I love how Jaoan is progressing❤
The mints we have in Germany you can find themnin the apotheke they are tinier and come in glass tubes, usually by the register
they used to sell those mints in the us and then they just disappeared. seeing them in this video took me way back
Those cooling wipes are sold throughout Asia. The pre toilet deodoriser is worldwide
