They could’ve made it like the Master Sword where is protects Link from Gloom for a while before it breaks and needs to be in light (from the surface, floating islands, or light root) to replenish.

I was so disappointed because it was SO MUCH WORK. But the bonus is it’s quick and easy to get to chests and other places in the depths I haven’t explored yet. 🤷🏻♀️

I did it for the full depths map. Once did a full no paraglider run and it was SOOO useful for navigation considering I wasn’t used to the landscape again (it had been a while) and it was my second run so I wasn’t used to the altered landscape. P.S. for anyone wondering how I got to the depths you can either use a T2 glide suit or there’s a chasm with a water pool at the bottom. Hardest part was the wind temple boss not Ganondorf. And it’s impossible to get mineru as the game checks if you have the paraglider (I did a few tests)

For future colorwork projects you might look into tunisian crochet. It's an odd hybrid of knit and crochet, but your stitches will be spectacularly clean and distinct, and it uses less yarn than dropping down a row. You can also use as many colors as you wish because the yarn stays with the location of that block of color.

They could’ve easily given us an armor set that I don’t know provides gloom immunity or gloom damage armor set that doubles the damaged when you’re under gloom effect or in the depths. Or at the very least a stronger version of gloom resistance clothes. Literally anything else

What you get is knowing where 120 surface shrines are and what their names are so you can search for the quest you need if they aren't there. And getting to see in the depths
