I don’t blame Korra, I blame the white lotus. From the moment they found her, she was cuddled and told constantly she is the avatar the most important person in the world. Then first time she leaves the South Pole she goes to a city where benders and non benders are at odds and thanks to having no experience with the outside world she causes more problems then solves. It also doesn’t help that she comes at a time where benders are becoming obsolete thanks to technology and the avatar at least this time round is not needed.
imma be fr. i think it is so important to have a character that is confused, AND messes up. a big point of the show is that none of her mistakes were specifically black and white. they added lots of nuance into this kids show, and it really helped me handle conflict and my own anger as an adult!
I still can't forgive Unalaq for destroying Korra's connections to the past Avatars.
I think Korra only tried her best and was just very unfortunate. We don't even know how bad the other avatars had it and they had plenty of regrets over their hindsight mistakes. I just hope Korra gets a redemption arc.
1. The reason why she listen to her uncle is bcoz he knows more about the spirits than anyone plus they where trying to see why the spirits where corrupted and attacking humans 2. She didn't accidentally release vaatu she had no choice bcoz jinora's life was threatened 3. She lost the past lives fighting a powerful being ( the dark avatar) 4. The dark avatar had raava, vaatu & unalaq combined fighting korra but with jinoras help korra won
She literally reset things to how they were always supposed to have been lol I guess a lot of ppl missed that fact. The spirit and human world were NEVER supposed to be separate. The avatar acted as a bridge between those worlds because of the mistake the first avatar made smh…Now things are back to how they were before the avatar and we have air benders again. She’s actually the most successful avatar.
Pavi looking for guidance: please, past lives, tell me what i should do. Korra: bro idfk
I don't blame Korra I blame the White Lotus, Unalaq, and every figure with power. Korra was sheltered by the White Lotus as soon as they found out she was the Avatar. She already lived in a desolate area once they got her she was completely closed off from the world. Republic City flipped her world upside down. She thought since she's the Avatar she deserved special treatment but her being the Avatar meant nothing celebrities are more popular than her. The people especially officials of Republic City made her feel like she needed to prove herself which put her in a dangerous situation that could've cost Korra her bending. Vaatu's release wasn't her fault her uncle had her fooled that whole time. The President didn't make anything easy for her everytime she came up with an idea he blocked her and whenever he was getting the heat from the citizens he threw her under the bus. Suyin got her in that fight Korra and Kuvira had just talked everything out until Suyin and Opal tried kidnapping Kuvira. Everything that happened could've been avoided if they had let Korra handled it her way. As for her losing and needing help let's not act like Aang didn't need help fighting other kids and as an adult was about to be killed by Yakone.
Long story short “we hate Korra because of the actions of other people and for losing fights sometimes”
There is nothing to blame her about. Unalaq was her uncle, plus he was very connected to the spirit world. She had every reasons to trust him when she opened the portal then did her best to make up for her mistakes. And we don't know yet if her past lives are really gone or if she just loose connexion with them
So like, no one warned her against her uncle so how is she supposed to just magically know he's bad? she had memory loess at the time aswell and everyone trusted him to help her. She only unlocked the other portal bcz Unalaq was holding a hostage and thanks to her opening the portals the air benders were resurrected and Vaatu won't be around for another 10 000yrs. only bad thing is the past lives being gone(but earlier in that same season Raava said that by being part of the avatar, they are one forever so it's likely the other past lives are still there but very deeply hidden, obv just a theory i made for myself to be happy). Kuvira was doing her own thing bcz Sue refused to step up for the earth kingdom so she decided to do just that. at the time Korra was gone bcz she was still poisoned and then when she was finally not poisoned she was still traumatized as heck and very much out of shape and she became abit more of a pacifist and so obv she lost. Korra leaving the portals open was the right choice for her era and what Kuvira decided to do had nothing to do with her bcz she didn't go waltzing up to Kuvira and saying "Yo! go use those spirit vines, totally cool" if anything, it's Variks fault for giving ppl ideas. and for the new avatar thing, we don't even know the truth. literally everyone blames the avatar for everything even if it was completely out of their control so for all we know they used korra as a scapegoat.
Korra is the best avatar. Ppl who call her the worst / a failure either haven’t watched the show in its entirety or they just biased for atla
The Legend of Korra more like “The Legends of Jinora and Mako” Season 1: Mako Bails her out by fighting Amon alongside her, while Korra does deliver the final blows that’s only cause Mako is able to prolong the fight by blasting Amon with lightning and using his bending to cover him in the planks Season 2: Jinora does some weird spirit world shit that never properly gets explained Season 3: Jinora creates the tornado of creation (little ninjago joke/reference) Season 4: Mako blows up the colossus tipping the tide of the whole battle
That first picture of Korra 🥵
There was nothing stopping dark spirits from attacking people pre season 2. Aang's era had no spirit portals and Aang still delt with spirits on a weekly basis.
"ya we got Airbenders again" mfs even they realize they would've went extinct and never shown up again without korra
You can’t blame the White Lotus for any of Korra’s failures. Especially because they protected her from the Red Lotus
Simple: TLOK was written badly and is incomparable to the masterpiece and perfection that ATLA is.
LOL I was mislead by the thumbnail! How dare you entice me with "Thicc-Thighs Korra"...
