Also wanted to comment on Larrys death. We had to do a super PG version due to self harm policy that youtube has. Our last video video got age restricted for a tiny mention of it and we couldnt risk another video getting nuked.

His grandfather robbed trains, his father robbed graves, he robbed banks, got me rollin

First documented 6 Stars police chase in history

@woowaptibam5253

Fun fact: That is less of a mistake in this great video, but an easy assumuption/oversight. When Emil M. tried to carjack the brown pickup truck. The guy who jumped out didn't grab the keys. He actually flipped a kill switch, which , in my humble opinion, is way smarter for having and employing it in one of the craziest moments of his life.

@parkerteo8708

Another bank calls 911 for an armed robbery
Dispatch: Sorry the entire police force is occupied with 2 guys at another bank robbery

@quincycostello6726

Dude, that is insane. Two guys were able to hold off more than 300 police officers for nearly an hour and there were NO DEATHS other than the perpetrators. That's like the ending of Blues Brothers.

@jeepbleep7017

“denis’s mom” has to be one of the biggest fumbles of the decade

@Sweet0nion

17:55 Larry was hit in the hand while he had his AK, so when his AK suffered a jam, he discarded it due to his inability to un jam it. So he pulled out his Beretta, and fired at police, since his hand was shot, he dropped his M9. When he stooped down to pick it up, he turned the gun on himself and killed himself.

5 SECONDS IN AND THAT HELICOPTER SHOT TELLS ME THIS IS GONNA BE A FIRE VIDEO

@Ryan30431

I remember watching this on TV live and the news that night. As a 13/14 year old I bought the computer game SWAT and played this scenario over and over

@trapezoid5810

This is a nice video to see haha. I edited quite a bit of the North Hollywood Shootouts Wikipedia page, and would like to add a bit of a fun fact: after the shootout began and it was seen that the officer's current small arms were ineffective against the two gunmen, several officers actually went to the local B&B Gun Store on Oxnard Street, borrowing the store's cache of AR-15 style rifles to try and combat the overwhelming firepower.

@man-o8i

fun fact: this heist inspired the paleto bay score in gta 5 and larry phillips also had the same last name as trevor and its pretty simular to this heist because in gta 5 they also used heavy weapons!

@X-Docs

This was straight fire. The animations took it to another level. You always dig up the wildest stories, man. Keep it going!

@owolabiezekiel5110

I saw the movie when I was much younger, 44 minutes. But that didn’t stop me from seeing every bit of this video. This is like another movie with a richer back story. I can’t imagine the amount of work that went into this production. I’m anticipating similar videos. Keep it up

@SamaelVR

Probably the most well known bank heist ever. So many movies and video game missions based off of it. The police were helpless against these guys.

@freddislettis9835

you know a video is gonna be fire when it has a whole ass intro credit sequence. Amazes me how high quality youtube is nowadays.

@goodguy003

I lived 2 blocks away from the bank. When this happened. I still remember that day.

@IconicBattles

I was in grade school in LA county when this unfolded and it was a student holiday/staff day (where teachers/school staff went to school but students stayed home). It was broadcast on live TV on the news as I was at my buddy's house. I remember we were in his room talking and his younger brother runs in "Some guy just got shot on live television!" (we knew it was serious because he said "TELEVISION" instead of "TV"). We ran out to the living room and watched the rest of it unfold. After this, all local LA police began carrying AR15s and shotguns in every vehicle, as well as equipped with body armor. Only SWAT had these at the time but then they became standard issue for all officers. A few of my fellow high school students went to become cops and still are to this day.
