When my daughter, now 34., was in 7th grade, a schoolmate of hers disappeared from a store half a block from her home. No trace was ever found. Seeing these cold cases getting solved gives me a tiny hope that maybe someday, we will know what happened to Laura Ayala on March 10, 2002 in Houston,TX. Thank you to all the investigators who work so diligently on a seemingly endless task in order to bring closure to the bereaved.
I never quite understand why law enforcement would say “it’s too early to file a missing person report”. If someone goes missing, the sooner you can start looking for them with a lot of people, the better.
The fact that SO many people could’ve helped Barbara really gets me. Imagine how helpless she felt. Rest In Peace Barbara.
It never ceases to blow my mind that multiple people will literally witness something as heinous as someone being dragged into the woods and they’re just like “nope. Not today”
I can't understand how no one reported Angela missing for 2 years...
My uncle was murdered as he was selling ice cream from his ice cream truck about 10 yrs ago and no one has been arrested. The sad part is he didn’t have to work, he did it more or less as a hobby after retiring. A lot of times he would give the kids with no money a small cup of free ice cream or take less than the original price. He was gunned down during a hood up while selling ice cream to kids…. These give me hope his killer will one day face justice.
I swear so many ppl who thought they got away with murder are screwed. Prisons are going to be full of elderly people.
I’m always fascinated at the ability we have to solve these cases today. I’m glad families are finally getting answers.
The fact that some cold cases aren't solved for decades because there is no budget to analyze the DNA and that private people take it on themselves to come up with money to use genetic genealogy to solve cases or give Jane and John Does their names back... I've seen tons of videos now with genetic genealogy beeing the key in solving crimes recently and I hope this will actually be used much more. Jails will be full with elderly murderers but justice needs to be served no matter what. Nothing more frustrating than finding out the killer lived a long and happy live til they died.
These videos are so satisfying to see. It's tragic that all this happened, but I'm happy that we're able to solve all these cases and finally bring those answers to light.
The case of Barbara Tucker is so sad. There was no need for her to die if just one of those witnesses had stopped to help.
45:00 he didn’t wanna take his friend home cause she was sick that’s more of reason to take her home not leave her exposed to dangers
It’s astounding how many cases in this day and age become a cold case.
I love it when a scientist and detective get together and work on the clues of a cold case to find out what happened and by who. It's like they give the victim a chance to fight back from the grave. Truly honorable.
That would be unbelievably frustrating, when it's obvious who the killer is, but it still becomes a cold case. Glad the family and friends got some closure.
So she was literally in the river she said she would drive in and it took 28yrs to figure that out SMH 😒 they couldn't of did much searching
Rest in peace to all those lives that were taken in this list, and rest in assurance to all those lives that were taken and yet to be identified and listed. A new era of forensics will lay you at rest too, eventually.
Finally, a doc series I can follow until the cold case is solved. Thank you to everyone involved in solving these crimes.
I grew up in Great Falls, Mt. My mother dated Patricia Kalitzke's brother and always terrified me with this story. Definitely had an impact on my dating life. Even though it had happened decades before, I was terrified to go to lonely parking areas with guys.
