LA mayor ‘won’t be intimidated’ by lawsuit over sanctuary city policy

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass said Tuesday she would not be "intimidated" by the Trump administration's lawsuit over the city's sanctuary policies. The Justice Department is alleging the policy interferes with the enforcement of federal immigration laws.

The lawsuit is targeting Ordinance Number 188441, which prohibits city resources from being used for immigration enforcement. The DOJ is seeking a permanent injunction barring the city from enforcing the ordinance.
