About this Video: In this video I talk about tsuketate bashi or how chopsticks in rice death and bad luck all intertwine. In Japanese chopstick etiquette you should never stick your chopsticks vertically into rice and leave them there. this is remenicient of tsuketate bashi, which is an action performed at Japanese funerals. you should also never pass food with your chopsticks. This is similar to when people in Japan pass the bones of their cremated lost ones from one to another.
