The footage captures the movement of the cilia on a ctenophore, commonly known as a comb jelly, filmed during a scuba dive at night with the use of a macro lens. As the cilia beat continuously, the creature produces vibrant rainbows. Interestingly, this effect is not a result of the ctenophore's bioluminescence, but rather a unique reflection pattern created by the focus light of the videographer.
