Federal officials file lawsuit against City of Los Angeles over sanctuary city policies

The U.S. Department of Justice has filed a lawsuit against the City of Los Angeles as well as the City Council and L.A. Mayor Karen Bass over sanctuary city policies. (June 30, 2025)
