Don't use Genki, it's actual doo doo. Learn Japanese the organic way instead. Use Anki to build up your basic vocab then get lots and lots of immersion. Confused about grammar? Genki will make it more confusing. Go look up Cure Dolly instead (or check out my remakes of Cure Dolly's videos).
