The Sagicho Fire Festival is one of Japan's most colourful (and chaotic) festivals. Each year in mid-March, just 30 minutes from Kyoto, this town in Shiga Prefecture called Omihachiman builds giant floats and then smashes them against each other for an insanely colourful and super fun festival, before they burn them all down to the ground.
It doesn't sound real - but this festival has been going on for over 500 years!
If you're in Kyoto or Osaka in mid-March, you can't miss this unforgettable festival experience!
