The "Lamborghini Tank" was a real concept in the 80s, with which the Italian car manufacturer wanted to enter the military market.

In collaboration with the US Army, the first series of vehicles was built, initially using a V8 engine from Chrysler. After this proved problematic, the second version was given the in-house V12 from the Countach sports car, making it the fastest SUV in the world at 450 horsepower. The most powerful armament provided was a fully automatic 25-millimeter cannon, which earned the SUV the nickname "Rambo-Lambo".

Since the U.S. military eventually showed no further interest in this project, the 300 vehicles were converted into luxury SUVs and sold all over the world. Among the most famous owners were Sylvester Stallone, Mike Tyson, Pablo Escobar and the son of Saddam Hussein. The latter lost the rare vehicle during the Iraq war to the American troops, who immediately filled it with explosives and blew it up. The soldiers had not been aware of the value of the Rambo Lambos and saw it as a good opportunity to test the effect of a car bomb.
